The Srilankan legend Jayasuriya took 445 matches to smash 270 sixes in ODIs. Whereas, Rohit Sharma achieved the feat in 241 matches. He has struck 273 sixes already. Now only ‘Universe Boss’ and Shahid Afridi are ahead of him with 331 and 351 sixes respectively. Notably, Chris Gayle has played 301 matches and Shahid Afridi has played 398 matches.

The Indian cricketer has also been prolific in the six-hitting department, becoming the only man to slam three ODI double-centuries and taking his six-hitting tally to the top-3 spot. He has also surpassed former Indian captain MS Dhoni’s record of most sixes in One Day Internationals (ODIs) in India. Rohit Sharma has had a wonderful start to the year.
