Is Siraj fit to play Kanpur Test? In a video uploaded by BCCI on their social media accounts, Mohammed Siraj was seen bowling the nets as India prepare for the first Test against New Zealand in Kanpur.

Siraj, who was an injury doubt for the game, bowled with good rhythm and pace and did not seem in any discomfort while going the motions.

However, the fast bowler was seen wearing protective gloves while taking a run on the field, suggesting that he hasn’t recovered 100% from his blow.

Siraj has been a revelation ever since making his debut in Australia during the historic Border Gavaskar series. The Hyderabad-born speedster quickly became a vital cog in the bowling set tup and continued his good form in the tour of England as well. India will be keen to manage his injury and not push him earlier than scheduled, with an all-important tour of South Africa set to begin next month.
