During an episode in Impaulsive Adesanya, explained to the MMA fans how the feud began, Adesanya has always been a fan of Jon Jones, since his fight in UFC 94, while he was fighting against Stephan Bonnar. So when Israel and Jon Jones were set to fight in Paulo Costa in 2020 he was dumbstruck.
Jon had said that he would fight Israel but why on earth did the style blender want to fight the legendary Jon Jone, when Adesanya responded to Jone’s comment, it was then that the verbal spatting had begun.

Adesanya says, that maybe Jon Jones felt threatened by his presence upon his entry into the UFC within the middleweight category. Adesanya says that the professional fighters have decided to put an end to the feud, as both of them have grown and matured with time.

Adesanya’s exact words were, “Growth is something you have to go through as a human being, as a man especially. Maturity”
Fans commented on the post with “ his seems kinda dumb tho like they aren’t gonna fight so who cares lol”.
Adesanya said that though he was a fan of Jon Jones, he might have felt that Adesanya was there to outshine him. But as per Adesanya, he believes that there is always enough room in the UFC for the other fighters to shine. He also mentions a recent comment that Henry Cejido had made on Adesanya, he says that the fighters are not even in the same weight class.
So what threat could he have posed to Henry? He said that in UFC there is no time for the fighters to sit and diss one another, instead to find their own business and carry out their training and perform well in fights and do great in their own paths that they have chosen for themselves.
