After getting demolished 3-0 by ONIC Philippines in the Upper Bracket, RRQ Hoshi had a last fighting chance in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang M3 World Championship 2021. But it was another Filipino team standing on their way, Blacklist International. Both these teams had to win in this best-of-5 series if they wanted to have a shot at becoming the M3 World Champions. Alas, history repeated itself as RRQ got clean-swept again by 3-0, this time from Blacklist International. MLBB Blacklist, Blacklist vs RRQ, MLBB M3, M3 Blacklist

1st Game

RRQ Hoshi went with a good lineup as they picked both early game heroes like Chou, Lolita and also scaling ones like Yu Zhong, Lylia, and Natan. Blacklist mainly focused on getting mid to late game heroes like Pharsa, Paquito, Esmeralda, and Yi Shun-Shin with Mathilda as support. Blacklist started building a lead from the first lord spawn as their late-game heroes got some crucial items by then and started winning in team fights. Still, RRQ was able to defend against Blacklist’s aggression and almost made a comeback as they pushed for Blacklist’s base in the 34th minute. But Blacklist picked off 4 heroes from RRQ and in turn destroyed the enemy’s base to win the match.

2nd Game

In the second game, RRQ went with a CC lineup with Paquito, Ruby, Lapu-Lapu, Pharsa, and Bruno. Blacklist out drafted them here by getting Phoveus, Natan, Yi Sun-Shin, Estes, and Chou. Although RRQ was able to get early kills, Blacklist found it easier to win objectives because of their better lineup. RRQ was not able to win against the combo of Phoveus jumping on them, while Natan and Yi Sun-Shin sniped from the backline. Thus, Blacklist won the game within 15 minutes.

3rd Game

The third game was a similar story to the second one. RRQ got Lunox, Rafaela, Chou, Paquito, and Bruno. Blacklist again out drafted by them by picking up Phoveus, Clint, Pharsa, Aldous, and Mathilda. This match was even more one-sided as Blacklist played beautifully, outplaying RRQ heroes many times and getting farmed way ahead of them. With the lead, they closed the game before 12 minutes.

Conclusion

With this 3-0 loss, RRQ Hoshi will have a disastrous loss record of getting clean swept by both the Filipino teams in the Mobile Legends M3 World Championship 2021. They are also out of this tournament and Indonesian fans’ hope of seeing a world champion this year will remain unfulfilled. Blacklist International continues its dominant performance in the Lower Bracket. After ONIC Esports, they have now eliminated the final Indonesian team, RRQ Hoshi from the race. They will now move to the Lower Bracket Semi-Finals where they will meet against the winner of TODAK vs EVOS SG.
