The 28-year-old will take weeks of rehabilitation before he can return to action. It means, the Inter man is out for the remainder of the season.

Inter Milan will take part in the Milan derby in the Champions League semifinal on May 09 and May 16. The winner of this game will fac either Manchester City or Real Madrid in the final.
Inter defender Milan Skriniar has undergone back surgery and his absence will be a big blow to Inter’s hopes of winning the European competition since 2010.

Meanwhile, the Slovakian defender might have played his last game for Inter because he is linked with a summer move to PSG. He has not played since mid-March.
He made his last appearance as the substitute in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 fixture with Porto.
The Serie A giants issued a statement regarding their 28-year-old defender, “Milan Skriniar underwent endoscopic surgery on his lumbar spine yesterday at the Clinique du Sport in Merignac.
“The Inter defender will follow a rehabilitation programme in the coming weeks.”
Inter Milan haven’t stated clearly that Skriniar will not take part in the Champions League but his injury is big and the club will not take a risk in a big game.
We have seen Skriniar for the last time in the Inter outfit. The defender made a move to Inter Milan in 2017 from Sampdoria and played an important role in winning the Serie A trophy two years back. Paris Saint Germain were monitoring him from last one year and they tried to sign him in winter window as well.
The 28-year-old will be a free agent and he will likely join Ligue 1 club in the summer.
