Mike Tyson believes he is overrated
On a recent Hotboxin episode actor and comedian Katt Williams spoke about how Tyson impacted many people, including him. Moreover, Williams asked about his first encounter with Tyson since they two had crossed paths numerous times previously. Subsequently, he went on to discuss how he got star-stuck in his career and had a hard time believing the man he had always idolized was actually In front of him.
Additionally, the co-host questioned Tyson about how he feels when people become overly excited and star-struck when they meet him. He stated, “I’m overrated and god have jusy blessed me giving me light. That’s all.”
Tyson isn’t overrated, and his record shows it. He defeated many legendary boxers, became the youngest champion in history, and was on par in stature with Muhammad Ali. Not to forget that Ali once said that he fears Tyson and that he thinks he can’t take a hit from him, which says a lot about how phenomenal of a fighter he really was.
Not only that, but his influence extended beyond the boxing ring despite the controversy and bankruptcy he had to file for. He was still regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time. For those who don’t know, in addition to his film roles in Hangover and numerous other films, he also appeared in WWE.
