Miami Open Draws: The Men’s Singles draw for the Miami Open 2023 has been unveiled on Monday, 20th March 2023. Defending champion and World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz leads the field. He is placed in a tough quarter that has another fellow teenager seventh seed Holger Rune, Taylor Fritz and also Andy Murray. Stefanos Tsitsipas is the second seed and leads the final quarter. First Quarter

Section 1

After winning the Indian Wells Masters, Caros Alcaraz aims to defend his title in the Miami Open. The World No.1 has received a bye to the second round. He is set to face either a qualifier or Facundo Bagnis in the second round.

Former World No.1 Andy Murray is also present in the same section of the draw. The Briton will face Dusan Lajovic in the first round. If Murray gets to the second round, he will set up clash against 30th seed Maxime Cressy. The winner of this contest is likely to face Alcaraz in the third round. 16th seed Tommy Paul and 20th seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina are the remaining seeded players in the top section at the first quarter.

Section 2 

Seventh seed Holger Rune leads the second section in the first quarter. The 19-year old will face the winner between Pedro Cachin and Marton Fucsovics in the second round. Rune and Taylor Fritz are likely to take on each other in the fourth round. Fritz has received a bye to the second round. He will face the winner between Emilio Nava and Joshn Isner in Round 2.

Second Quarter 

Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev headline second quarter

Section 3

Third seed Casper Ruud is looking to get back to form after poor performances so far. The Norwegian will face either a qualifier or Ilya Ivashka in the second round. Alexander Zverev is the 13th seed and he is also in the same section of the draw. Zverev will open his campaign against either Taro Daniel or Arthur Rinderknech.

Section 4

In the second section of the second quarter, Andrey Rublev is the top seed. The Russian will face either Alexander Bublik or JJ Wolf in the second round. 10th seed Jannik Sinner also is in the same section. He is likelyto face Laslo Djere in the second round. 21st seed Grigor Dimitrov and 29th seed Miomir Kecmanovic are the other seeded players in the quarter.

Bottom Half 

Third Quarter

Section 5

8th seed Hubert Hurkacz leads the top section of the third quarter. 11th seed Cameron Norrie is also in the section and both the players will possibly meet in the fourth round. 17th seed Borna Coric and 32nd seed Ben Shelton are the other seeded players in the section.

Section 6

Daniil Medvedev, who lost in the final at Indian Wells Masters is the fourth seed. He will face a qualifier in the second round. He wis expected to have a easy sailing until the fourth round. 15th seed Alex de Minaur, 19th seed Matteo Berrettini and 29th seed Yoshihito Nishioka are the other seeded players in the quarter.

Fourth Quarter

Section 7

Felix Auger Aliassime, who is the fifth seed leads the top section in the final quarter. Aliassime is set to face the winner between Thiago Monteiro and Jason Kubler in the second quarter. 12th seed Frances Tiafoe is likely to set up clash with Aliassime in the fourth round. Tiafoe will begin his campaign in the second round and he will face a qualfiier.

Section 8

Second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas is in the final quarter. The Greek bowed out from the first round at the Indian Wells and aims to make a comeback in the tournament. He will be facing Richard Gasquet or a qualifier in the second round. 14th seed Karen Khachanov, 18th seed Lorenzo Musetti and 27th seed Sebastian Baez are also present in this part of the draw.
