The incident took place in the last delivery of the 16th over when Chennai Super Kings showed perfect team combination to dismiss Stubbs. Sisanda Magala pitched a slow off cutter outside the off stump forcing the batter to take the aerial route in order to play a big shot. Stubbs comes dancing down the track to go for a big one.
He struggles to connect the bat with the ball properly and ends up sending the ball high in the air. Dwaine Pretorious kept his eyes on the ball, goes on to trace his step backwards until he finds himself on the boundary ropes. Determined not to let the ball go for a sixer, he rocks backward and then pushes the ball back into the ground.

While Pretorious falls behind the ropes, CSK opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has arrived in the vicinity and he takes a simple catch to dismiss the batter and thereby executing a fine team combination for the wicket dismissal.
