Anthony Martial scored for the third consecutive pre-season game as an impressive Manchester United coasted past Crystal Palace in Melbourne.
Scorers: Martial 17′, Rashford 48′, Sancho 59′; Ward 75′.
New United head coach Erik ten Hag will have been satisfied with the display his team put on at the MCG as the Red Devils continued the goal glut they have been offering during pre-season so far.
Left-back Tyrell Malacia made his debut for the club but it was Martial who stole the spotlight in the first half with his third goal in as many games.
The Frenchman was picked out by a dipped pass from Diogo Dalot before taking one touch at the back post and squeezing the ball past by Remi Matthews.

Summer signing Malcolm Ebiowei almost immediately equalised for Palace when he danced through two United defenders before seeing his left-footed shot well saved by David De Gea.
Marcus Rashford extended the lead three minutes after the break, tapping home from a stylish team move involving Martial, Jadon Sancho and substitute Donny van de Beek.
Sancho then got in on the act himself after being played through on goal by Martial before slotting past Matthews at his near post.
There was still something for Palace’s Australian contingent to celebrate as Joel Ward heading past De Gea 15 minutes from time to earn a consolation strike for the Eagles.
United finished the game with ten men after Will Fish was sent off for deliberately denying a goalscoring opportunity after bringing down Victor Akinwale on the edge of the area.
