None of the Thunder batters managed to even cross the five run mark
Chasing a total of 140 set by the Strikers at the Sydney Showground Stadium, Alex Hales’ side were destroyed in just 35 balls, with Henry Thornton taking five wickets for just three balls. The Thunder’s pathetic total is the lowest ever scored in the shorter format, beating Turkey’s 21 all out against the Czech Republic back in 2019.
Brendan Doggett who score four runs for his side was the top scorer in the second innings. To note, five Thunder batters could not even open their account as the Thunders meekly surrendered on just 15 runs and could not even play the full powerplay overs.
