In addressing the deal on the podcast, Paul said that the upcoming event would see the introduction of the launch of Prime in Australia. And this will be the first significant event at which people will see the Prime Drinks brand and ad and recognize them as the official partner of the UFC. Buffer continues the conversation by asking how this agreement ended up taking place.
To which he replied, “I texted Dana and I was like, hey is this spot open like just out of curiosity? I know at the time they had another sponsor. Is there a chance that we could make our way in just for this one event? And it turns out the contract they had with the current isotonic partner at the time was expiring at 2022. My partner called me, he was like, ‘hey this contact is open, is this something that you like that interests you.”

He continued, “And I’m like dude! I have been watching UFC my whole f****ing life. I mean, you know that I’m obsessed with everything. And if the product I created that I drew the logo on paper was just an idea at one point becomes the official sports drink, the fuel of my favorite sports organizations, like that, is a dream come true. I cannot fathom how cool that is and we won the bid.”
