Salah ventured into the United penalty box and dribbled past Dalot to slot home the goal as Liverpool headed into the break confidently with a 2-0 lead.

United made yet another change from the beginning of the 2nd half. The Manchester Reds switched from the back 5 to back 4, with Jadon Sancho coming on to replace Phil Jones. United started to dominate proceedings in attacks after playing free-flowing football. With United keen on making it 2-1 or even 2-2, Rashford, Elangs and Sancho missed some glorious opportunities. Robertson picked up a loose ball and began a counter-attack, He passed it to Sadio Mane, who inside the penalty box, turned and decided to shoot to make it 3-0 and potentially Game over for United.
Mo Salah put the final coffin to the game with 5 minutes to go. Picking up a cleverly lofted pass, he made no mistake to put the ball at the back of the net. A brace for Salah and Liverpool’s fourth was enough to inflict a humiliating defeat to Manchester United.
