Chelsea put their off-field troubles to one side to book their spot in the last eight as they came from behind to win at Lille. Lille took the lead from the penalty spot after 38 minutes of the second leg, when Burak Yilmaz converted from 12-yards after a Jorginho handball in the box to make it 2-1 on aggregate.
But it was Chelsea who struck next, when Christian Pulisic scored his second goal of the tie to make it 3-1 in first half stoppage time. And César Azpilicueta then made it 2-1 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate when he arrived at the back post to finish from Mason Mount’s excellent cross.
