Legends League Cricket: India Maharajas vs World Giants: The much-anticipated Legends Cricket League is set to kickstart the second season with the India vs World XI special match on September 15. Sourav Ganguly is set to lead Team India while the World Team will have the former English batter Eoin Morgan as their skipper when the two teams square off at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The organisers have dedicated this year’s league to India’s 75th Independence celebration too, making the special match even more special.
“This is a proud moment for us that we are celebrating 75thyear of our independence. As a proud Indian, it gives me immense satisfaction to share that we have decided to dedicate this year league to the 75th year of Independence celebration,” Ravi Shastri, Commissioner, Legends League Cricket said.
The team will comprise of some of the big former players from the world of sport. The special match is going to be officially named as Indian Maharajas and World Giants when the two team take to the field in Kolkata.

The special match will see participation of cricketers from around 10 countries, which makes it extra special. If the Indian line-up includes players like Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Ajay Jadeja, Irfan Pathan among others the opponent also look strong. The World Giants comprise of Lendl Simmons, Sanath Jayasuria, Dale Steyn, Brett Lee among others.
However, it is important to note that the LLC second season is going to start the next day after the India Maharajas vs World Giants clash. With an array of big former players having signed up for the league, LLC season 2 is expected to be a cracker.
