Legends League Cricket Draft: After the franchises announced their captains over the course of this week, the franchises in the legends league cricket will pick their players for the tournament. The organisers have organised a special draft for the same with each franchise allowed to pick 18 to 25 players, with a minimum of 6 Indian players. LLC will start from Eden Gardens at Kolkata followed by Lucknow, New Delhi, Cuttack & Jodhpur. The venue for play-offs and finals are yet to be decided. It is a four-team tournament, with Manipal Tigers, Bhilwara Kings, India Capitals and Gujarat Giants competing. Virender Sehwag will lead the Gujarat Giants, while Gambhir will skipper the Capitals outfit. Harbhajan has been named Bhilwara skipper while Irfan Pathan will captain the Manipal side.
The draft will see the teams pick players from five different categories – Batsmen, All-rounders, Wicket-keepers, Spinners, Fast bowlers. Each team will have a maximum of 120 seconds to confirm their pick. The draft will have a maximum of 20 rounds. The order will be shuffled after every four rounds via a lucky draw.
