La Liga: Gareth Bale ends 578-day Real Madrid goal drought after return from loan- The 32-year-old helped himself on the scoresheet after scoring an early goal during his recent outing against Levante. Gareth Bale went on to play a vital part for Real Madrid getting them an early lead on Sunday when they played their second LaLiga clash.

Finding the back of the net with a sweet left-footed strike, Bale finally ended his goal drought for Real Madrid. The Welshman netted his first goal for Los Blancos after a staggering 578 days.

His goal came within the first five minutes of the match with the Welshman visibly joyful after the ball rolled into the net. It was Bales’s first goal since scoring for Real Madrid back on January 22 2020 during their Copa del Rey clash against Unionistas.

The 32-year-old had a difficult time back in 2020 as former Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane had cast the Welshman aside. It had a major impact on his form as Bale played only six more times for Los Blancos since netting that goal in Copa Del Rey against Unionistas. Overall, Bales’ goal tally saw him find the back of the net just three times in the 2019/20 season.

Later, Bale spent a year back in England featuring for Tottenham Hotspur by joining the London outfit on loan during the 2020/21 campaign. The 32-year-old scored 14 times for Spurs last season and has picked up his form from London to Madrid.

Bale has come out all guns blazing for Real Madrid this season with the 32-year-old expected to form rekindle his partnership with Karim Benzema. Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti will once again rely on the Welshman to get going and help his team battle neighbors Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona for the La Liga title.
