Korea Open LIVE: All you need to know – The ATP Tour’s Asian tournaments are set to begin with the first edition of the Korea Open, that is set to be played from 26th September 2022. The ATP 250 event will be held for the first time since 1996 for men and it is set to feature players like World No.2 Casper Ruud, Cameron Norrie, Taylor Fritz ad Denis Shapovalov. Casper Ruud leads the draws

After achieving a career-best World No.2 ranking, Casper Ruud is all set to play his first individual tournament on the ATP Tour. He is the top seed at the Korea Open and is in the first quarter of the draws. He has received a direct bye to the second round and will face either Nicolas Jarry or Marcos Giron in the second round.

Fifth seed Dan Evans is the only other seeded player in the quarter and he faces Yoshihito Nishioka in the first round. Taro Daniel and Emilio Gomez are the other players in the quarter.

Taylor Fritz headlines second quarter

After playing his part in helping Team World win the Laver Cup for the first time, Taylor Fritz is all set to play in the Korea Open. He is the third seed and is present in the second quarter of the draw. He has also received a bye to the second round and will face either Michael McDonald or Pedro Martinez in the second round.

Miomir Kecmanovic, who is the seventh seed is the only other seeded player in this quarter. He will face Lucky Loser Aleksandar Kovacevic in the first round. Chinese Taipei’s Tseng Chun Hsin and Christopher O’Connel are the other players in this quarter and they face each other in the first round.

Denis Shapovalov headlines third quarter

Denis Shapovalov is the fourth seed in the tournament and he will face the winner between Yosuke Watanuki and Jaume Munar in the second round. Meanwhile, Borna Coric, who won the Cincinnati Masters title is the sixth seed in the tournament and will face Radu Albot in the first round. Wildcard entrant Nam Ji-sung from South Korea and Steve Johnson are the other players in the quarter.

Cameron Norrie in final quarter 

Second seed Cameron Norrie leads the final quarter of the draws and he will face a wildcard entrant in the second round. He will face the winner between Hong Seong-chan and Kaichi Uchida in his second round. Eighth seed Jenson Brooksby is the only other seeded player in this quarter and he will face Wu Tung-lin in the in the first round, who is also a qualifier.
