What does the result do to KKR & SRH playoff hopes?
- Sunrisers Hyderabad: SRH is almost down and out. Even if they win last 2 matches, they will reach 14 points. That is unlikely to be enough for Qualification. They are now on a 5 match losing streak.
- Kolkata Knight Riders: KKR has 12 points from 13 games. If they win the last one against LSG – they can hope results of PBKS, RCB, RR, DC matches goes in their favor. Too much of a ask – almost out of Playoff RACE.

KKR beat SRH Highlights: Chasing a target of 178 in Pune was always going to be tricky and Kane Williamson’s poor form did not help. The SRH skipper scored just 9 off 17 deliveries before being dismissed by Andre Russell. But it was Rahul Tripathi’s wicket that all but shattered SRH’s hopes.
Tim Southee took a blinder of a catch in his follow-through to dismiss Tripathi. Abhishek Sharma, who was looking in good touch, had to up the scoring rate but fell for 28-ball 43 to Andre Russell.

Then on, it became a struggle as Sunrisers Hyderabad kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram both fell trying to go for the big hits. In the end, SRH could only manage 123/8, losing the match by 54 runs. Russell bagged three wickets for 22 runs.

KKR beat SRH Highlights: Earlier, opting to bat, Kolkata Knight Riders posted 177/6. Andre Russell was the star with a 28-ball 49 after Umran Malik bagged three wickets to deal KKR a blow. But with Sam Billings, Russell stitched together a 63-run stand to steady the ship.
Opting to bat, Kolkata Knight Riders struggled once again. Venkatesh Iyer fell in the 2nd over and although Ajinkya Rahane and Nitish Rana helped KKR post 55/1 in powerplay, they lost quick wickets in the middle-overs.
Umran Malik was the wrecker-in-chief with 3/33 in his four overs. He bagged three crucial wickets of Rahane, Shreyas Iyer and Nitish Rana, dealing KKR a blow. However, Russell & Billing ensured KKR have a competitive total.
