Venkatesh Iyer has been dropped from the team, as Anukul Roy is making his debut. The all-rounder from Madhya Pradesh has not got going at all this season, as he has scored only 132 runs and has not picked up a single wicket so far.
The 27-year-old was retained for a hefty fee of INR 8 crores, but this decision has backfired for the KKR management. Besides one half-century against Mumbai Indians, Iyer has not performed with the bat, and he has scored only 35 runs in his last four matches.
