KKR Retained Players List – IPL 2022 Retained Players: The KKR management on Tuesday announced that they have retained Andre Russell (12 Crores), Sunil Narine (6 Crores), Varun Chakravarthy (8 Crores), and Venkatesh Iyer (8 Crores) ahead of IPL 2022 Mega auction for the next three seasons. Meanwhile, Eoin Morgan has been left out. A close source to KKR management told InsideSport that Morgan’s depleted batting form has led to this decision. Purse Amount Remaining: 48 Crore
Even though an amount of Rs 12 crore is being paid to Andre Russell, 16 crore will be deducted from KKR’s purse as he has been retained in the first slab.

18:50 IST: Eoin Morgan is all set to be released, Venkatesh Iyer’s name is certain for one of the slots.
“Morgan’s batting form has been an area of huge concern in IPL 2021. Despite of his good show on the leadership front, slump in his batting form is the reason that Morgan will not be retained by the franchise”, declared the source close to KKR Management.
It is worth noting that Morgan could only score 117 Runs @ poor average of 11 in 17 matches during the last season. The source informed InsideSport that franchise is not ready to shell out big bucks for England’s white-ball captain due to his struggle for runs which even continued during the T20 World Cup.
