Khelo India Youth Games 2023: The fifth edition of the Khelo India Youth Games is underway. Madhya Pradesh has taken over the hosting duties of the games this year. The multi-sport event was started with an aim to provide young athletes a platform to exhibit their talents and it has been instrumental in unearthing young talents. This year more than 6,000 participants throughout the country will be in action in 27 different sporting events. The games this year have officially begun with a grand opening ceremony at the Tatya Tope Nagar Stadium in Bhopal on Monday, 30th January 2023. It will be live-broadcast on the Star Sports Network. Players under the age of 22 can participate in the Khelo India Youth Games. Out of the 27 sporting dicsciplines, for the first time, sports like kayaking, canoeing, canoe slalom and fencing will be part of the Khelo India Youth Games. Beginning from 31st January, the current edition of the tournament will be held for 13 days till 11th February 2023.

The upcoming games would be spread out over eight different sites in Madhya Pradesh. The eight cities in MP are Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat and Khargone (Maheshwar) – while the cycling event alone is scheduled to take place in Delhi
