De Bruyne’s goal was a moment of individual brilliance, as he picked up the ball inside the center circle and dribbled past Arsenal midfielders before firing a low shot past goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

The Belgian then scored in the 54th minute through Haaland’s assist as the midfielder slotted low past Ramsdale into the bottom right corner to triple City’s lead. The Belgian’s goal was his eighth against Arsenal in the Premier League, which is his most scored against any opponent.

The goal also saw De Bruyne move up to third on Manchester City’s list of all-time leading Premier League goalscorers, behind only Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling. It was a fitting reward for the Belgian, who has been one of City’s most important players in recent years.

City continued to dominate proceedings after taking the lead, with Erling Haaland causing problems for the Arsenal defense with his pace and power. The Norwegian striker set up De Bruyne for a second goal midway through the first half, but his effort was blocked by Ben White. However, the hosts doubled their lead just before half-time courtesy of John Stones’ header.

Talking about the game, Manchester City put on a masterclass performance against Arsenal, dealing a crushing blow to the Gunners’ Premier League title hopes. The victory puts City in a commanding position in the title race with a two-point gap over second-placed Manchester United, and two games in hand.

Kevin De Bruyne scored two goals and assisted another for John Stones. Erling Haaland was also in impressive form, providing two assists and scoring the final goal in stoppage time. Rob Holding scored the late consolation goal for Arsenal.
