In a surprising move, Guardiola decided to bench the midfielder for the game against Spurs. He was spotted warming up and setting up balls for teammates before the game.
Things went downhill when Harry Kane found the back of the net in the first half. Kevin looked quite glum while he was watching the action from the bench. Haaland really struggled to make the impact that he usually does, especially in the first half. Guardiola finally bit the bullet and introduced the midfielder in the 59th minute. Sadly for City, Kevin did not have the desired impact, and they ended up losing 1-0.
