Kashmir Premier League: Sohaib Maqsood, Shoaib Malik among top PSL stars to play in KPL; check details inside- A new T20 tournament- Kashmir Premier League or KPL is all set to kick off in August. The inaugural edition will include as many as six teams that will be played from August 6-16. They are Bagh Stallions, Mirpur Royals, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Overseas Warriors, Kotli Lions, and Rawalakot Hawks.
Current era players Shadab Khan, Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed will play for Bagh Stallions. Owais Shah, Sharjeel Khan, Khushdil Shah, and Mohammad Irfan have been snapped up by Shoaib Malik-led Mirpur Royals.
Other superstars are Mohammad Hafeez, Sohail Tanvir, and Sohaib Maqsood will also make their presence in KPL.
Former Sri Lanka captain Tillakratne Dilshan will feature for Muzaffarabad Tigers. Monty Panesar will plat for Kotli Lions led by Fakhar Zaman. Kamran Akmal, Asif Ali, and leg-spinner Usman Qadir will also be part of the Kotli Lions.

Some of the retired platers who will reportedly participate in Kashmir Premier League are Tillakaratne Dilshan, Matt Prior, and Monty Panesar.
England’s Matt Prior, Mohammad Hasnain, Ahmed Shahzad, and Hussain Talat will play for Shahid Afridi-led Rawalkot hawks.
Among others, Overseas Warriors will be captained by Imad Wasim. Herschelle Gibbs, Haider Ali and Azam Khan will also play under him.
Shehryar Khan Afridi, the Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, has said that with this league, he hopes that “sports be the best form to help in the transformation of any part of the world,” as quoted by news18.com
