Despite holding many unbreakable records in the UFC, including being the youngest champion in UFC history, Jones has had his fair share of demons. Some of these incidents are the only reason why some fans don’t consider him the GOAT. So ahead of his return to the UFC in March, we look back at the times Jon Jones found himself under arrest.

Police have arrested Jones a total of five times since 2012. The first was for driving under the influence of alcohol in 2012. According to reports, Jones’ speeding car rammed into a lamppost. As a result, the police arrested him and Jones had to pay a $1000 fine and the authorities suspended his license for six months.
The second instance was a much more serious incident. Jones found himself in the middle of a hit-and-run case. According to authorities, Jones allegedly jumped a red light, lost control of his rental car, and collided with another car. To make matter worse, the passenger in the other car was pregnant. As a result, he faced lengthy probation. However, Jones opted to partake in charity and avoided the sentence. Despite this, the UFC stripped him of his title after this incident.
The third incident came as a result of his hit-and-run sentencing. In 2016, a year after the incident, authorities arrested Jones again after he allegedly violated his probation.
2020 saw Jones in trouble again. This time it was for DWI, firing a gun, and driving without insurance. This was yet another dent in Jones’ legacy, as it was another sign of his negligence.
And Jon Jones’ most recent arrest came in 2021. This was soon after the UFC inducted him into their hall of fame. The same night, Jones went out partying, and the alcohol got the better of him. Later that night, police arrested Jones on charges of domestic violence, battery, misdemeanor, and damage to a police vehicle. This came after his partner called the hotel and asked them to call the police after Jones attacked her.
Therefore, these are the five instances where Jones found himself in handcuffs. And although he said he will get his act together after his arrest in 2021, with Jon Jones, we never know.
