The clash was an absolute war and depicted both great striking and ground game from both the fighters.
Jiri saved the match by pulling off a clutch submission with less than 30 seconds remaining, but he was pushed to his limit as he entered the fifth round for the first time in his career.
Jiri dominated Glover Teixeira in the fifth round through submission and walked out with the title.
However, the current UFC light-heavyweight champion has called for a rematch with Glover Teixeira via his Instagram video. He has disclosed he didn’t perform well in the match and wants to justify his worth in a rematch.

“I may decide for next fight, and I wanna fight Glover the next fight. Not because it will be another big fight, but just one reason: my performance was bad (in) the first fight. And I will show you why I’m the champion, clearly, decisively. And I think Glover deserves it.
“So here’s the offer. I will show you why I’m the champion.”
He mentioned how an enormous challenge is Jan Blachowicz in the division. While the comment had caught the attention of the former light-heavyweight champion who had replied with a tweet.
