The biopic will chronicle the journey of women’s cricket’s leading fast bowler, her struggles and sacrifices in making it to the Indian team.

“It is a really special film because it is essentially a story of tremendous sacrifice. Chakda Xpress is inspired by the life and times of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women’s cricket,” Anushka said.
It will also highlight women’s cricket back in the late 90s and early 2000s when the cricketers did not have a central contract, nor any support from the fans and followers. The movie is produced by Anushka Sharma and is directed by Prosit Roy.
