Raw is ‘XXX’
On the 30th anniversary of WWE Raw, on January 23, 2023, Sami Zayn was held on trial by Roman Reigns in “Tribal Court”. Reigns accused Zayn of plotting against the Bloodline and being secretly associated with his friend Kevin Owens. Paul Heyman acted as the prosecutor and accused Zayn of treachery towards the Bloodline.
With that Reigns was about to declare Zayn guilty when Jey defended Zayn, which led to Zayn being declared ‘not guilty’ by Reigns.
The Royal Rumble
At the 2023 Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns faced Kevin Owens in a singles match for the WWE Universal Championship. However, Reigns defeated Kevin Owens and retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Following the match, The Bloodline attacked Kevin Owens. Reigns then asked Zayn to hit KO with a steel chair.
In the biggest turn of events, Sami Zayn delivered a blow of the steel chair to Roman Reigns. Thus, BETRAYING THE BLOODLINE.
The Bloodline then gathered to beat Zayn. However, Jey Uso looked tremendously upset with the happenings and walked away.
After that, Jey Uso was nowhere to be found around for several weeks. He finally showed up on the February 10, 2023 episode of WWE SmackDown and retained the WWE Tag team Championship with his brother.
Elimination Chamber
At the 2023 Elimination Chamber, Roman Reigns defended his title against Sami Zayn. Reigns brutally defeated Zayn in the match. During the match, Jey entered the ring to prevent Reigns from attacking Zayn.
The BETRAYAL
On March 6, 2023, episode of Monday Night Raw Jimmy Uso had a match against Sami Zayn. During the match, Jey Uso showed up. However, Jimmy lost to Zayn. After the match, Jey hugged and embraced Sami Zayn. But moments later Jey Uso betrayed Sami Zayn by delivering a superkick. Thus, this signalled Jey Uso’s alliance with the Bloodline. The Usos then engaged themselves in a beatdown of Sami Zayn.
The Explanation
On Friday Night SmackDown March 10, 2023, The Usos entered the ring with the intention of Jey Uso talking about what happened with Sami Zayn previously. Jey told everyone to step in his shoes and asked them what would they do if they were in his place. He then mentioned that he never had a choice because Jimmy Uso is his brother, his family and what he did, he did for his family. He then blamed Sami Zayn for everything.
Later Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn showed up and took care of the Usos.
