When co-host DJ Whoo-Kid questioned the Mi-Gente hitmaker about why he wrote all of his songs in Spanish, the answer was given. He asserted that despite the fact that many Latino artists were making the transition to mainstream audiences, he did not feel comfortable leaving his roots.
J.Balvin revealed that he wanted to keep things real and not only translate songs to English to conquer a larger fan base. He says that he feels like he has exactly done his job the best possible way, as his music is out there in the world in Spanish for the fans to enjoy.
