Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira have engaged in two different combat sports four times, with Pereira holding a 3-1 advantage over Adesanya. Sadly, they suffered that one defeat in their most recent middleweight championship contest. Adesanya won the championship, and Pereira will move up to light heavyweight as a result of having his first opponent Jan Blachowicz who also defeated Israel Adesanya previously.

Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira ran into each other at the LAX airport last week, though the two professional fighters couldn’t share much of a conversation due to the language barrier. But Israel Adesanya in an episode of Impaulsive mentioned that he ended up giving some tips and advice on how to defeat his opponent Jan Blachowicz.

Adesanya said the conversation between them took place as they were waiting for their bags. Jan Blachowicz brought the first MMA loss to Adesanya’s fighting career when he went up for the 205 weight division. Adesanya said “ I thought the same thing when I fought Jan. I thought Jan was gonna attack me a little bit more, but he was patient. So I kind of let him know, you be patient too. In more so words. I didn’t wanna say too much, but yeah.”
Although Adesanya earlier anticipated that Blachowicz would knock Pereira to the ground and defeat him there as he did during their bout, he also believes that “Poatan” is capable of turning the fight around.
Adesanya had managed to hurt Jan Blachowicz badly during their fight, so he believes it will be possible for Poatan as well.
