Izzy’s former opponent Paulo Costa recently slammed the former middleweight champion by posting a parody image, which cited Adesanya waking out of his rematch against Pereira due to an injury.
In response, Israel Adesanya mocked Costa with some adult comments and recalled their past fight.

After winning the middleweight belt against Robert Whittaker and defending it against Yoel Romero, Israel Adesanya knocked out Paulo Costa at UFC 253. ‘Izzy’ took merely two rounds to stop his Brazilian opponent in what became his second 185 world title defense. However, what irked Costa is Adesanya’s humiliating behavior post-fight.
Israel Adesanya defended his championship status for a long time until falling prey to Alex Pereira’s vicious striking at UFC 281. Five PPVs later, the two will rematch to settle the bad-blood rivalry that has transcended from kickboxing to MMA.

As of now, Israel Adesanya is ranked number one in the 185 lbs category, while Paulo Costa stands in the fifth position. Per reports, Costa has recently signed a 4-fight deal with the UFC and is expected to get a crack at Robert Whittaker or Khamzat Chimaev shortly.
