SC East Bengal finished eighth in the points table with only three wins and eight draws. The Red and Golds never got going and there were controversies involving their head coach Robbie Fowlers which also took their focus off the field. Overall it was a difficult debut season for the Kolkata based outfit and heading on to the new season they are looking to follow the footsteps of their new head coach Manolo Diaz. The former Real Madrid Castilla tactician comes with loads of experience and tactician prowess and will be looking to take the club to greater heights.
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur FC started the last campaign on a high note and were in the top four places during the winter break. However, after a forgetful second half of the season, they could only manage a sixth-place finish in the points table with seven wins and six draws.
