Hyderabad FC kicked off this season’s campaign with a 0-1 defeat against the two-time champions Chennaiyin FC but won their next two matches against defending champions Mumbai City FC 3-1 and against heavyweights Bengaluru FC 1-0. Their other match against Jamshedpur resulted in a 1-1 draw. Last season they finished in fifth position with 29 points from 20 matches. This year they are in fifth spot after playing four games with two wins, one draw and one loss. They have started brightly and hope to finish in the top four positions.

On the other hand, NorthEast United FC have had a very bad start to their campaign. They have won only one match against FC Goa 2-1 and had a goalless draw against Kerala Blasters FC and lost the remaining two matches 2-4 and 0-1 against Bengaluru FC and Odisha FC respectively.
