Ferguson, one of the quickest bowlers in the game, had been a part of the KKR franchise from 2019-21. The two-time champions had released him ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction where he was bought for INR 10 crore by Gujarat Titans.
However, with the trading window and the deadline for the franchises set for November 15, Gujarat Titans are likely to let go of the Kiwi sp[eedster. The IPL 2023 mini-auction is set to take place on December 16.

How did Lockie Ferguson perform for Gujarat Titans?
Ferguson had featured in 13 matches for the Gujarat Titans in their maiden appearance in the lucrative tournament. However, he did not turn out to be economical for the franchise, as he gave away 8.96 runs per over.
The right-handed fast bowler, a part of the New Zealand squad which qualified for the T20 World Cup 2022, scalped 12 wickets from 13 matches that he played for Gujarat Titans. He recorded his best bowling figures of the season on 4/28. The gun pace can, however, turn out to be an X-factor in the KKR franchise.
