Going by the current situation, three teams will be playing with a new coach in IPL 2023. And that count could increase before IPL 2023 starts as well.

It is important to note that these teams failed last year in the IPL. Punjab, Kolkata and Hyderabad finished sixth, seventh and eighth on the table, therefor not qualifying for the Playoffs. With the kind of money invested in each franchise, the owners want results, and these team failed in that endeavour.
However, it would not be right to say KKR coach failed. In fact, the management were happy with Brendon McCullum, but him having taken over the England job, KKR had to look at options.
They looked at few options before zooming on in an Indian coach Chandrakant Pandit. It was an interesting choice with Pandit having delivered at the domestic level, and IPL is a different brand of pressure cricket altogether.

When it comes to Punjab Kings, they are unlikely to renew the contract of Kumble, who took over the club for a three-year contract in IPL 2020. His win rate has not been good too during the period, winning only 19 from 42 matches.
The Punjab franchise is looking at different options, including former England captain Eoin Morgan and coach Trevor Bayliss. Also, there are suggestions that the franchise is open to an Indian taking in charge.
The situation is much more interesting in Sunrisers. They are keeping things private, but if they get a good coach for the role, they are also open to bringing in a new one at Hyderabad. As of now, they are quite silent on the matter.
