IND vs AUS: Green proves his worth for Australia yet again, Mumbai Indians’ big ticket buy passes the spin test with flying colors

This is the first Test tour for Green in India. While he missed out on scoring runs in the Indore match, the 22-year-old passed the spin test with flying colors in Ahmedabad. Coming into bat with Australia searching for partnership, Green mixed caution with aggression and scored runs whenever Indian bowlers bowled loose balls. The 22-year-old stitched a partnership worth over 200 runs and enabled Australia to post a formidable total of over 400.

Brought for 17.5 crores by Mumbai Indians, Green will play the role of Keiron Pollard with bat and ball in hand for the five-time IPL champions. With a stunning 114, the all-rounder proved that he can handle pressure situations and also play spin well.
