Like his rise to stardom, India team captaincy, the ICC trophies that followed, and the sudden retirement announcement, nothing is certain with MS Dhoni. Even CSK CEO only hopes that he will continue for one more season.
Dhoni himself has said at the post-match presentation that he will take a call on his career around December. But as things are always out of the blue for Dhoni, fans are on the edge if he will say the dreaded words, “Consider me retired”.
“I don’t know, I have 8-9 months to decide. I have ample time to decide. The auction is in December. I will always come to CSK. I have been out of home from January, been practicing since March, so we will see,” MS Dhoni told Harsha Bhogle during post-match presentation after win over GT.
For now, only MS Dhoni knows if a 5th IPL title could put a fullstop on his playing career or the last dance will be in IPL 2024.
