Brook’s statement did not go down well with Indians fans, who felt the Englishman played one stellar knock and is getting carried away. IPL 2023: Harry Brook’s sense of humor intact, passes hilarious family-related statement after whirlwind knock
While his one statement relating to shutting fans up might have hurt Indians, Brook immediately made for the other, by passing a hilarious family-related statement. During the century, Brook’s girlfriend was seen cheering from the stands, but the rest of the family members had left for England. “My girlfriend is here, but the rest of the family just left. I knew this would happen, as soon as they leave, I’ll get some runs [laughs]. I’m sure they’ll all be very happy for me,” Brook said amusingly.
Speaking about the game, SRH won the match by 23 runs. Brook’s scintillating hundred and a blazing half-century by Aiden Markram were the cornerstones of SRH’s second win of the IPL 2023 season.
