IPL 2023: In what is coming as a big blow to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Will Jacks has suffered an injury scare ahead of IPL 2023. The explosive all-rounder has been ruled out from England’s tour of Bangladesh due to an injury. This is the third major injury concern for the Virat Kohli-starrer side as Glenn Maxwell and Josh Hazlewood are also suspected to miss some matches of IPL season 16 owing to injuries. Jacks suffered a left thigh injury while fielding in Friday’s 132-run triumph in the second ODI, which gave England a game to spare as they won the series vs Bangladesh. According to an ECB official, Jacks will return home within the next 48 hours to start his rehabilitation.

If Jacks’ injury puts his participation in the IPL in jeopardy, it remains to be seen.
At the December auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore purchased him as a backup for Glenn Maxwell for INR 3.2 crore (about £320,000). On April 2, they face the Mumbai Indians in their opening game.
Since collecting England caps in all three formats this winter, Jacks has hardly got any rest. His T20I debut came during the team’s September trip to Pakistan.
He collected a six-wicket haul on his Test debut in Rawalpindi after travelling to the UAE for a training camp before England’s Test visit to Pakistan in mid-November. He competed for Pretoria Capitals in the SA20 in January before traveling to New Zealand to serve as England’s backup Test spinner.

He took a flight to Dhaka and arrived three days prior to Wednesday’s first ODI after being excluded from the second Test in Wellington.
