IPL 2023 Auction: IPL 2023 Unsold Players: While Sam Curran, Cameron Green and Ben Stokes were the IPL 2023 Auction’s headline figures, many players, including big names like Kusal Mendis and Wayne Parnell, remained unsold. Sam Curran, the star all-rounder for England, set the record for the most expensive purchase ever at the mini-auction with a bid of Rs 18.50 crore. He was signed by Punjab Kings and surpassed South African Chris Morris’ record (Rs 16.25 crore). Morris’ pay was equaled or surpassed by that of two other players.  Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was acquired by Mumbai Indians for Rs 17.5 crore. Ben Stokes was acquired by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 16.25 crore.

Nicholas Pooran was the most expensive West Indies player ever when he was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 16 crore. England’s Harry Brook, was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 13.25 crore. SRH purchased Mayank Agarwal for Rs 8.25 crore. The first player to be sold to Gujarat Titans for Rs 2 crore was Kane Williamson. Pacer Shivam Mavi was one of the surprise selections; Gujarat Titans paid Rs 6 crore for him, while Delhi Capitals paid Rs 5.5 crore for Mukesh Kumar.
