Fans can expect some frenetic bidding in Kochi during the IPL Auction on Friday. Of the 10 teams, 7 could potentially break the bank and acquire IPL”s most expensive player. The current record stands at Rs 16.25 Cr with Chris Morris. In 2023, Sam Curran, Ben Stokes and Cameron Green are all in contention to surpass that.
Last year, it was Ishan Kishan who was the most expensive. MI forked at a staggering Rs 15.25 cr on the young wicketkeeper. The last three auctions have seen the Rs 15 cr mark breached, with Pat Cummins sold for Rs 15.25 back in 2020.
