“A player may request a review of any decision taken by the on-field umpires concerning whether or not a batter is dismissed, with the exception of ‘Timed Out’ (Player Review),” the WPL playing conditions said as per ESPNcricinfo.
“A player may also be allowed to review any decision taken by on-field umpires concerning wide or no-ball,” the playing condition added.

Players will no longer be limited to reviewing on-field decisions for dismissals in the WPL and IPL. The two unsuccessful reviews that each side is allowed every inning will include these reviews for wides and no-balls. DRS, however, cannot be used to review leg-bye rulings.
Players have already used this new feature in the first two games of the WPL.
The on-field umpire in the tournament opener between the Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants ruled that a delivery from Mumbai spinner Saika Ishaque was wide down the leg side. The judgement was reversed after Mumbai’s DRS review because the replay revealed the ball had briefly touched Monica Patel’s glove.
Jemimah Rodrigues of the Delhi Capitals used a similar evaluation on Sunday afternoon. Rodrigues requested a review using DRS shortly after she drew a full toss from Megan Schutt for four and saw the on-field umpires had not indicated a no-ball for height.
Replays and ball tracking, however, demonstrated that the ball was dipping on the batter and that Rodrigues had sunk quite low, nearly on her back knee. As a result, the verdict stood.
IPL and NO-Balls controversy
In the previous past, contentious no-ball rulings based on height have caused controversy in the IPL. MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, once exited the dugout during a match against the Rajasthan Royals in 2019 in response to Ben Stokes’ high full toss.
Similar events occurred in another last-over conclusion between the Royals and Delhi Capitals in the previous season.
