The right-handed batsman slammed back-to-back sixes straight down the ground, leaving the bowlers in splits while playing in the ongoing Lanka Premier League. IPL 2022 Auction: The performance of the Lanka Premier League (LPL 2021) will certainly be under the watch of IPL scouts. Avishka Fernando is likely to win big among players involved that also feature the likes of Wanindu Hasaranga and a number of IPL players.
Avishka Fernando has experience of playing in 74 T20s so far with 1600+ runs that features 12 half-centuries. The 23-year-old is yet to play in the Indian Premier League. He is expected to play as a middle-order batsman as he is the favourite to make his IPL debut this year. A number of IPL teams, including Lucknow & Ahmedabad, is likely to be in the fray to add him to their squad.
Overall, Sri Lanka players have earned Rs 1,959,303,250 since the inaugural edition of the IPL. Last year, Hasaranga was bought by RCB.
