IPL 2022: RCB qualify for playoffs, thank Mumbai Indians for victory against Delhi Capitals that helped them earn playoffs spot – Check pics
RCB were placed at the fourth position on the points table and Delhi Capitals were at the fifth spot, before the start of the clash between MI and DC. A victory for Delhi in the contest would have helped them qualify for the playoffs while it would be curtains for Faf du Plessis’ men.
However, Mumbai Indians chased down the 160-run target with five balls top spare. MI’s victory helped RCB qualify for the playoffs as they have sealed the fourth spot. They will now meet Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator

During the match, RCB uploaded pictures of their players glued to the television set at the team’s hotel on their social media accounts with the caption, “All eyes on the game. No prizes for guessing who were supporting!”. All of them were rooting for MI.

There is only one spot remaining in the playoffs as Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants have already sealed the top 3 positions. Gujarat and Rajasthan will face each other in the first qualifier.
