1. Tymal Mills
Tymal Mills was one of the most sought-after bowlers back in IPL 2017, when he bagged a deal worth INR 12 crore from the Royal Challengers Bangalore, making him the second most expensive overseas player of that auction. However, he had a season to forget, playing only 3 matches and picking up 5 wickets, whilst also going for runs aplenty. He has been bought by Mumbai Indians for the upcoming season for INR 1.9 crore and will be determined to make his mark this time around.

2. Matthew Wade
Matthew Wade is now a veteran with enormous experience, but he first arrived in IPL as a 23-year-old youngster, all the way back in 2013. Delhi Capitals, then known as Delhi Daredevils, gave him three opportunities but Wade could not make it count, scoring 22 runs in total. He will be seen playing for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 after bagging an INR 2.4 crore deal.

3. Alex Hales
Alex Hales was never sold at an IPL auction till now, but he did play six matches back in IPL 2018 when Sunrisers Hyderabad roped him in to replace David Warner. The Englishman played a few decent knocks and accumulated 148 runs in total, but was not retained for the next season. He has been signed by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 1.5 crore.

Like Hales, Joseph was never sold in an IPL auction but was roped in by Mumbai Indians as Adam Milne’s replacement in 2019. He created history by becoming the first bowler to take a six-wicket haul in his IPL debut, but it was followed up with two poor performances which ended up being the reason why he was retained for next season. He has been signed by Gujarat Titans for INR 2.40 crore.

5. Sean Abbott
Australian pacer Seann Abbott will be making an IPL comeback after a gap of seven years. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2015 for INR 1 crore, but failed to justify his reputation as he went wicketless in the two matches he played. This time around, he will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad after being signed for INR 2.40 crore.
