Tom Moody’s praise for Shashank – In the post match Moody spoke fondly about Shashank and said, “The Riser of the day it would seem pretty obvious to give it someone who has taken five wickets and even though it was an unbelievable performance, this award is not so much about you kow the best performance in the match, it’s about a contribution.
“And this contribution came from a person that sat on the sidelines and watched other people bat for five games, desperate for his opportunity and tonight he had his chance and he absolutely nailed it.”
Shashank goes almighty in final over – While going into the final over SRH would were thinking of 180 runs and around with Lockie Ferguson bowling. However, the man of the moment Shashank Singh had other ideas as he smashed Lockie Ferguson to three consecutive sixes to take the score to 195/6 and gave a fitting end to the innings. Shashank’s exploits were applauded by everyone in the SRH dressing room as he was given an ovation with claps. Altogether 25 runs came in the final over.

Who is Shashank Singh? – Born in Mumbai, Shashank plays for Chhattisgarh in the domestic circuit and was eligible for Mumbai and Puducherry before making his debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2015-16 season. Shashank has prior experience of IPL and was bought for Rs 10 lakhs in 2017 by Delhi Daredevils. Shashank then made his switch to Rajasthan Royals (RR) in 2019 and in the same year he started representing Chhattisgarh in Ranji Trophy.
Shashank Singh will now be hoping for an even better IPL as he tries to contribute more with his batting and bowling displays.
