Milestone for Shikhar – Shikhar Dhawan has been chasing the records for some time now and missed out on last two matches, however he made sure he completed the milestone against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK). On the first ball of the second over Shikhar got a single to reach the 6000 IPL runs. Astonishingly, this is also Shikhar’s 200th IPL game.
Shikhar’s tally of unbeaten 88 runs is the highest for any batter in their 200th IPL match, beating previous best of Rohit Sharma. The MI captain scored 68 in his 200th IPL game.
Third Indian to achieve 9000 T20 runs – Shikhar has become the third Indian batter to achieve 9000 runs in T20 cricket after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. While both Rohit and Virat have more than 10000 runs in the shortest format, Shikhar will try to replicate the same.

Second IPL player in IPL history – Shikhar took 200 IPl games to reach the milestone of 6000 IPL runs with an average of over 34. Virat has 6402 runs in 214 IPL matches while Rohit Sharma has 5725 runs in IPL. David Warner comes next with 5668 runs as the highest scoring foreign import in the IPL.
