Feather in the cap – The Afghanistan star has been lighting the stage in IPL, first for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and now for GT. Overall Rashid is the third fastest bowler to scalp a century of wickets, with only Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Lasith Malinga reaching the landmark in quicker time than him. It took 83 matches for Rashid scalp the 100 wickets.
Shivam Mavi becomes 100th wicket – Rashid dismissed Shivam Mavi on the second ball of the 16th over which paved his way into the record books. Rashid is the joint fastest spinner to pick 100 wickets as he joins Amit Mishra and Ashish Nehra who both took 83 matches. Rashid ended with the figures of 22/2 from his four overs as GT were chasing yet another win.

Exploits for SRH and GT – The GT side led by Hardik Pandya has established an iron grip for a place in the knock outs as thanks to Rashid. The spinner has eight wickets for GT while he scalped 92 wickets for his former side SRH. Rashid was released by SRH at the end of last season and is turning out to be a huge hit for GT so far.
