IPL 2022 Playoff Schedule – IPL Final in Ahmedabad: While last month BCCI President Sourav Ganguly confirmed that the IPL 2022 Playoffs will take place in Kolkata and Ahmedabad, Jay Shah has now confirmed the development. The IPL 2022 Final will be played at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 29 while the Eden Gardens will host Qualifier 1 and Eliminator on May 24-25. “Pleased to announce that Playoff Stage of IPL 2022 will be held in Ahmedabad & Kolkata. Mega final will be at Narendra Modi Stadium on May 29 along with Qualifier 2 on May 27. Qualifier 1 & Eliminator at Eden Gardens on 24-25 May respectively,” BCCI Secy Jay Shah told ANI.

IPL Final in Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad hosted the limited-overs series between India and West Indies in February. While the ODI leg was played in Ahmedabad behind closed doors, 75 per cent crowd capacity was allowed in the T20I series that followed in Kolkata.

Meanwhile, the three-team T20 Challenge will be played in Pune. Although Ganguly confirmed that the mini women’s IPL will be conducted in Lucknow, the venue has now changed to Pune. The tournament will be held in Pune between May 23-26 with the final on May 28.
“The Women’s T20 Challenge resumes this year and Pune will host the fourth edition of the tournament. The dates of matches will be on May 23, May 24, May 26 and Final on May 28,” Jay Shah said.

The four grounds used for the matches so far are in Maharashtra itself, namely: Wankhede Stadium and Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and the MCA Stadium in Pune.
