Haris Rauf had an exceptional outing in the T20 World Cup 2021, where his four-wicket haul against New Zealand led his team to victory in a Super12 fixture. He was last seen in the T20I series against Bangladesh.
Haris Rauf is currently playing in the Big Bash League (BBL 2022) for Melbourne Stars. In the two matches, he has played, he has bagged 3 wickets. But it was 2019-20 season when he shined.
The Pak pacer, who clocks 150kmph regularly, scalped 20 wickets in just 10 matches including a hat-trick at the MCG in the BBL 2019-20. His astonishing performances propelled him to the national team.

He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in October 2020 but didn’t find much success. But with 14 wickets in 8 matches, he has slowly stamped his authority. In T20Is, it was the T20 World Cup that opened up the gates to success.
In the ICC mega event, his 4/22 against New Zealand helped Pakistan reach the semifinals. Haris Rauf finished as Pakistan’s second-highest wicket-taker behind Shadab Khan with eight scalps.

In the same event, MS Dhoni was India’s mentor. Team India failed to qualify for the semifinal stage after their crushing 10-wicket loss to Pakistan in the opener. Rauf scalped Hardik Pandya’s wicket in the high-octane encounter.
However, despite showing promise, Babar Azam led Pakistan crashed out after the loss to eventual champion Australia in the semifinals. As for MS Dhoni, he will be back in the IPL 2022 with Chennai Super Kings. It is likely to be his last campaign as a cricketer.
